Week of APRIL 26th- 30th:

In the kitchen we are having fun with the locally grown spring produce and we never know what recipes it will show up in.  Just now with the ramps for example, we have a ramp buttermilk (ranch-style) salad dressing. And of course the salads themselves include as much local produce as we can find.

New soups this week include a Curry Lentil vegetarian soup and a Sausage, Spinach and Tomato soup.  Even if your toes don’t need warming, maybe your tummy does?

Sunday Brunch has recently included two versions of a ramp and dandelion quiche – one with spinach and one with bacon. We will keep making as long as there are ramps. Don’t miss out!!! We try out new recipes sometimes (as in last Sunday’s Tex Mex Quiche) so come along and see what we are up to. And don’t forget the sausage gravy and biscuit.

Elsewhere you will see that there is a pop-up burger night this Friday.  We will be cooking up yummy desserts – Brownie Sundaes?  Millionaire shortbread under vanilla ice cream with chocolate or caramel sauce? And Granola parfaits aren’t just for breakfast.
