Cory Wharton and Heather Twigg, two wandering bluegrass musicians, both traveling vastly separate musical paths in life, agreed to play a show together in Frostburg, MD. It was clear that Cory's guitar rhythm and distinct vocal style melted right into Heather's soulful fiddling and beautiful, high lonesome harmonies. Thus, began a friendship and musical journey that helped shape them into the musicians and human beings that they are today. They headed down to Johnson City, TN, studying at East Tennessee State University, and playing music with several wonderful bands, including The Shadow Drifters and Heart of Appalachia. After suffering a tremendous set back in the form of being hit by a car, Cory and Heather recovered with some great folks by their side, and music always in their ears. Finally they moved back to Cory’s home in Allegany County, Maryland where they were married. Cory and Heather believe that music, unlike any other medium has the enigmatic ability to heal, to help, and to entertain. Cory and Heather love music of the Appalachian Mountains, but their one true love is bluegrass music.
