We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Café Manager to oversee café operations for our small community arts cafe and music venue in Capon Bridge, WV. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Café Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily operations and inventory, cafe staff scheduling, and creating a welcoming environment for both staff and customers. Full-time hours may be offered after a 90 probation period.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily café operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Create quality food and drink specials regularly

  • Manage cafe staff scheduling

  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste

  • Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café environment

  • Utilize Square POS system for efficient order processing and sales tracking

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Proven experience in food management

  • Background in customer service with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of inventory control processes and cash handling procedures

  • Familiarity with bartending or barista services is a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

  • A positive attitude and willingness to help both customers and team members

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
