You don't have to bring anything--all materials will be provided. If you have a preferred medium, like watercolor, or photography, bring along your materials.
Cindy Brome was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and grew up in Verona, New Jersey. She lives and works in New York City and Hampshire County, West Virginia. She has her own high-end gardening business in Manhattan.
She first traveled to West Virginia at the age of 11 months and returned every summer thereafter with her family. She studied botany and music at Swarthmore College, gardening at The New York Botanical Gardens, and music at the Eastman School in Rochester, NY.
As a teaching assistant at the University of Southern California School of Cinema, she taught color and design for film. She delved deep into color: additive, subtractive, space created by color, color in lighting, manipulating color for emotional affect—fun!
