Leenie Hobbie:
I suspect that my herbal apprenticeship began when I fell in love with the light dancing through the swaying leaves of a Weeping Willow tree while I was a still a babe-in-arms. I have certainly been enchanted ever since. All of the important memories in my life are infused with allies from the plant world, saturated with scents of botanical origin, and enlivened by the wonder of residing on this gorgeous garden planet. I live in the Appalachian Mountains, the oldest mountain chain in the world I am told, and I love the long tradition of common, every day folks like me using the abundant common, every day plants found all around us to support and enhance our good health. I live in a hand-built home, lovingly created by my husband, where we have raised our four home-birthed children. I have been privileged to study with herbalists like Jeanne Rose, Jeannine Parvati Baker, and Rosemary Gladstar, to name a few. I have also apprenticed myself directly and devotedly to the plant world, showing up daily for over 30 years to receive my lessons. I love sharing what I have gleaned as widely and enthusiastically as possible. Join me on these pages in whatever ways are best for you and remember always to keep to the good, green path! https://www.leeniehobbie.com/
Hay Fever:
Hay Fever is a neo-traditional Appalachian band with a sound unique to itself. While leaning heavily on the flavors and traditional of the Old-Time fiddle music played in the hills of West Virginia, each member brings his or her own musical history to the band. When listening to Jim Morris (Guitar), Josh Haza (Mandolin) and Dakota Karper (Fiddle) it is no surprise to hear hints of The Beatles, Bluegrass or even Beethoven. Whatever the style being highlighted, Hay Fever is sure to deliver a musical experience with both finesse and the raw, breathing sounds of living music. https://www.facebook.com/hayfevermusic/
