Bill Wellington has had a very successful career as a storyteller and children’s entertainer whose award-winning Radio WOOF recordings have charmed children since 1990. Bill has also been a musician in several different bands: As fiddler for Caledonia (1982-87) and The Time Flies (2000 - present), as banjo player for Troublesome Creek String Band (2006-09), and as guitar player for The Bouncers (2016-present). Bill learned much of his guitar and fiddle playing from Tom and Israel Welch, West Virginia musicians well known in Hampshire and Mineral Counties who played for hundreds of square dances between 1935 and 1990.
Bill has taught at The Augusta Heritage Center, Pinewoods, The John C. Campbell Folk School, and Terpsichore Dance Holiday among others.
