Scottish-born, Appalachian-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Ali Tod returns to The River House for a special hometown show celebrating the release of her debut solo album.
Produced by acclaimed guitarist Kaki King, the new record marks a major new chapter for Ali, combining powerful songwriting and raw vocals with the virtuosic, percussive guitar playing and live looping that have become the signature of her electrifying live shows.
After a year of touring in the US and Europe, Ali brings it all back home to the Cacapon River for an intimate night at The River House, joined by special guest Isaac McCarthy.
Raised in Berkeley County, West Virginia, Isaac McCarthy is an award-winning Appalachian performer, educator, and writer.  His artistry has won accolades from MidAtlantic Arts, WV Arts, and first place at The River House Open Mic Contest. As a dance caller and multi instrumentalist specializing in three finger banjo, he has shared stages with artists like The Wild Shoats and The Mighty Troubadours, bringing his unique blend of Appalachian sound to audiences across the region.
