Concert: Peter and Deborah

Peter and Deborah have been singing together off and on for the past 15 years, blending her country roots and his folk/rock background and using their combined talents to bring their audiences a unique offering of favorite songs from past and present.

Deborah has loved music and singing since she was a small child.  She grew up listening to the Grand Ole Opry and was strongly influenced by classic country singers like Loretta Lynn, Lacy J. Dalton, as well as folk singers like Cat Stevens and John Denver.  She is self-taught and began singing publicly at the age of 38. Deborah sees music as a way to connect us to something larger than ourselves and celebrate what is good in life.

Peter has been playing music for most of his life – he got his first guitar at age 10.  A singer/songwriter in his own right, he has played many styles of music; been in rock and fusion bands, but has always held an affinity for the music he grew up with and first learned to play – Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, James Taylor, and John Denver, to name just a few.

Peter has often said that playing music is the clearest way he knows to share his heart, and with his voice and signature 12-string guitar he strives to transcend the barrier between artist and audience and forge a warm connection that is both joyful and uplifting.
