Poetry After Noon

Join local poet, John Berry for an afternoon of poetry - virtually!

Local poet John Berry will be there to kick off the event, reading from his respective works, and from some of the poets who have influenced him with an open mic of the spoken word to follow

All are welcome to join!

This month we are featuring a fine poet from Buffalo NY, Marge Merrill!

A life-long resident of western NY, Marge Merrill is celebrating her first chapbook, There Is Music in the Rattle of the Chains, not to mention a well-deserved retirement.

The poet, Martha Deed, author of Chasing Whitman says this about Merrill; "These are not noisy, ashcan poems; these are imaginative, snarky, sneaky poems coursing above the skies of closed down steel mills, teenage hideaways, disordered kitchens, foreign wars or hip-hopping down sidewalks outside of crowded places filled with cliché."

The River House and John Berry are inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
