Joe Crites is a West Virginia–based country artist whose music blends the grit of modern country with the heart of Appalachian storytelling. Growing up in a small West Virginia town, he first began making music alongside local friends and his siblings, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion. After graduating high school, he refined his craft at the Atlanta Institute of Music before eventually returning home to carve out his own path. After leaving a career in law enforcement to chase music full-time, Crites has built his reputation on honesty, resilience, and faith in the power of song. His writing often centers on themes of legacy, family, and hope for the next generation.

Known for his raw yet uplifting performances, Crites has become a recognizable voice at regional festivals, historic venues, and intimate listening rooms across Appalachia. Whether backed by a full band or standing alone with an acoustic guitar, his rugged, heartfelt vocals cut straight to the core and invite listeners to be part of the story. Beyond the stage, Crites is a hands-on craftsman with his art. From producing and writing new material to creating his own merchandise, he builds connections with fans that extend far past the music.
