Since 1980, The Keplinger Family has been playing traditional Bluegrass music.
They have recorded several albums over the years and performed on the original WWVA Wheeling Jamboree at the Capital Music Hall in Wheeling, West Virginia. The family has received several awards over the past 45 years doing what they love to do, perform Bluegrass music.
For many years their music took a back seat while the group members pursued education, professional careers and expanded family members. That time gave the individual members the room to expand their musical knowledge while still performing as a family group. The Keplinger's feel the responsibility of continuing Traditional Bluegrass music along with adding a touch of new original material to create a new class of entertaining and sharing the roots of their music.
The Keplinger Bluegrass Band still maintains the original family members plus some new talented members to round out the group and bring forth a new experience in the professional music scene.
